Our Professional Journey
Happy Harbours, LLC. is a family-owned business that started with a single property and a dream to relocate. Within the span of 3 years, it has grown to include multiple properties, a consulting business, a social media and web presence, and a parent company. We’ve encountered many stressors and challenges along the way, some of which resulted in success, while others were better categorized as lessons. Regardless of the experience, however, we’ve fostered the passion, focus, and balance necessary to grow our business while raising a family and maintaining our full-time careers. Communication, discipline, trust, and information-sharing have been foundational pillars upon which we have built what we have today. We are still learning and we will continue to expand, with the hope that we can help others do the same.
Our Life Story
The Granner Family has been traveling together from the year our children were born, and even as a couple before that. Some of our trips have included visits with our extended family across the U.S., from Wisconsin to Washington to Arizona. Other vacations were inspired as a part of a family tradition to travel over extended school breaks - Costa Rica, Belize, and Hawaii are among the favorites. Even more than the destinations, though, our family came to understand and appreciate the way our experiences along the journey brought us closer together every year. Our two eldest are currently 20 (twins), and away exploring life on their own at college in Arizona, while our youngest is 17, and making his own preparations to leave the nest. As they grow into adulthood our children have become more involved in the family business. They’ve offered to work as repairmen, help with advertising, cleaning, or just about anything the company has needed. In fact, they even helped develop the website! My loving husband’s role is largely focused on financials and maintenance while supporting me and our dream together from the beginning. I continue to operate as the face of the company, pricing the stays, managing the bookings, coordinating check-ins/outs, acting as the primary point of contact for our renters, and consulting. It is our differences that allow us to cover all of our bases and see every solution. Growing this business has brought us closer together and fulfilled some of our dreams. Our goal is to do everything we can to help others achieve their goals and follow their dreams.
